Mission Statement

Pachamama Children Organization promotes sustainable development initiatives at rural communities of Cusco. We do so by empowering young local leaderships and ensuring that the traditions in the communities are embraced and preserved for our future generations.

Our Work

Pachamama Children is a registered non-profit organization in Cusco, Peru.

Tourism has provided a significant growth in Cusco and at the same time, we also realize the needs and the growth potentials in rural communities outside of Cusco that have not changed much despite the growth in the center of Cusco. Most of these communities have very minimal access to basic needs. These, in turn, create great opportunities and leadership challenges to innovate and to fully utilize the social capital and other resources in the communities sustainably. We scope, monitor, and evaluate projects through our interactions and continuing discussions with the leaders of the communities. Our constant interactions allow us to have a holistic perspective on the interdependencies of the projects.

For each project, we work hand in hand with the locals and volunteers from the Cusco communities and abroad. Funding for the projects are generated from private donations and collaborations with partner organizations.
